In the aftermath of a public scolding by an Israeli hawk regarding ill-advised comments on reconfiguration of Israel's borders my Commander-in-Chief needed a defining, face saving moment.
Unfortunately, he took his best shot at Pakistan during a season in which it is critical that every word be calculated and succinctly measured with our nuclear ally.
So his boomerang remark regarding our capability and willingness to enjoin the hunt again on Pakistan's soil is a stupidly unnecessary remark. Grandstanding for a less-than-adoring public, he offers up his remaining good eye to be pummeled by a Pakistani fist.
Israel or Pakistan? What the hell! President Obama remains his own worst enemy when it comes to what drones through the vocal cords. Ms. Hillary tags along with her own stilted gait.
Naturally, the BBC is thrilled with this journalistic tit-for-tat. This is a classic kick the dog scenario, but the dog should have been kicked inside the White House walls. We would not have heard the bark, but we will certainly hear the bark coming back from Pakistan. sigh
The intellectual midgets of our foreign policy strike again!
